Our Story

BAW Dance was created for every woman who has ever felt like she had to make herself smaller.

For the women who were told they were “too much.”
Too loud. Too emotional. Too sensual. Too different.
For the women who felt disconnected from their bodies, isolated in their experiences or unable to fully express who they truly are.

BAW Dance exists to create supportive and empowering dance spaces where women and female-identifying individuals can reconnect with themselves through movement, creativity and community. Through dancing, laughing, sharing and celebrating together, we aim to build spaces where people feel genuinely seen, welcomed and free to express themselves without shame or judgement.

Our Mission

At BAW Dance, our mission is to provide more than just dance classes.

We create inclusive, female-led movement experiences that support confidence, creativity, wellbeing and community through dance. Our goal is to help people break barriers mentally, emotionally and physically while feeling supported, inspired and empowered throughout their journey.

Our Impact

Since 2022, more than 1000 women and female-identifying individuals have danced with BAW Dance across London and online.

​

Our community brings together people from different backgrounds, cultures and experience levels through beginner-friendly belly dance, burlesque, floorwork, flexibility and fusion movement classes. Alongside developing dance skills, our members build friendships, confidence, creativity and a stronger sense of belonging through shared movement experiences.

How we help 

BAW Dance aims to support your journey creatively and confidently.

Alongside classes, we also support performers, students and creatives through rehearsals, showcase opportunities, choreography support, performance development and community events.
